Baltic Exchange Roll of Honour

The Baltic Exchange

is the world's only independent source of maritime market information for the trading and settlement of physical and derivative contracts.

From 1744 to the 21st Century, the traders, brokers, shipowners and charterers who walked the Baltic floor represented the most important trading and maritime companies from centres across the world.  Although the trading floor is a thing of history, the Baltic's position as the pre-eminent provider of independant maritime data remains.

In both World Wars members of the Baltic Exchange served and died in the service of Britain and France.

A former Director of the Baltic Exchange - Ian Lauder - researched and had published in 2016 the stories behind the members of the Exchange killed in in World War 1 and who are remembered on the Exchanges War Memorial. Since then more information and Photographs have come to light and this site contains the update of that work.
